Favourite chef? No particular favourites but love watching a good chef at work.
Ryan O`Keefe Q and A
Favourite cuisine?
Modern Australian.
Favourite place to travel?
Europe.
Favourite dish to cook?
Fresh pastas and sneaky desserts.
Favourite dessert to eat?
Chocolate mudcake.
Sweet or savoury?
Savoury then sweet but usually both.
How do you like your eggs?
Poached, still runny.
Favourite ingredient and why?
Never run out of flour, it's the base to so many things. I said earlier that I love to make pasta dishes and part of this is making my own pasta. With flour in the cupboard your options are endless.
What dish would be the way to your heart?
Deep fried stuff gets there pretty quickly I’ve heard.
What’s your favourite tune to cook to?
Hard one to answer as it depends on the day really. I do normally cook with something chilled out in the background.
What’s the first meal you remember cooking and was it a success or a disaster?
Chocolate pudding when I was very young. I thought it tasted all right but it received mixed responses.
Who do you cook for the most?
My wife. My new son is still on milk currently but he will need a feed soon.
What three ingredients would you take with you to a desert island and what would you cook with them?
Flour, water, eggs. What I cook will depend on what the spear catches.
If you were having any three people, alive or dead, over for dinner, who would they be and what would you cook for them?
Eddie Murphy for entertainment, Lance Armstrong and Tiger Woods (my golf game could use the help). Seared scallop and truffle tart with sweetbread and a burre blanc sauce!
