Chef and author Curtis Stone makes his second appearance on MasterChef, having previously been the guest judge in the seafood banquet group challenge. This time Curtis will be rating the efforts of Poh and Julie as they compete for the title of Australia's first MasterChef.
It was during Curtis's four year stint at Quo Vadis that he was approached by a publisher to be included in a book about London's finest chefs. The resulting book, London on a Plate, put Curtis in the spotlight and firmly on his path to a bright future as a celebrity chef and author. Appearing on UK television shows regularly, Curtis made his first major television series with a tie-in cookbook in Australia with Surfing the Menu. He hosted My Restaurant Rules in Australia before bursting onto American television screens with his Take Home Chef series. His popularity there has led to guest appearances on Oprah, The Today Show, Martha Stewart, Ellen DeGeneres and Entertainment Tonight, just to name a few.
Australian-born Curtis headed to London after working in Australian restaurants and worked with the legendary Marco Pierre White at the Mirabelle as Sous Chef. Curtis was then made Head Chef at another one of Marco's flagship restaurants, the critically acclaimed Quo Vadis.
