Announcement: Rules for postings about Contestants, Hosts and Judges

We've already outlined our Code of Conduct but we'd like to also cover the way you should treat and refer to all who feature on MasterChef Australia.

While we encourage and welcome debate, we ask that when it comes to the Contestants, Hosts, and Judges, you refrain from posting any sort of non-constructive personal abuse, including but not limited to:

Bullying: Picking on someone who can't defend him or herself is not appropriate. In relation to the forums, bullying includes: - Direct verbal bullying: e.g. name calling, insults, homophobic or racist remarks, verbal abuse.

Indirect bullying: designed to harm someone's social reputation and/or cause humiliation. Indirect bullying includes: lying and spreading rumors; playing nasty jokes to embarrass and humiliate; mimicking; encouraging others to socially exclude someone; damaging someone?s social reputation and social acceptance; cyber-bullying, which involves the use of email or chat rooms to humiliate and distress.

Racial Vilification: conduct that incites hatred against, serious contempt for or revulsion or severe ridicule of another person or group of persons on the grounds of their race or religion.

Legal Matters: you must also not post any comments about court proceedings or any other legal matters involving or relating to a Contestant, Host, and/or Judge.

We reserve the right to remove postings that breach these rules or our Code of Conduct and your account may also be suspended.

Reporting
If any member of the Master Chef forums believes a post breaches these rules or the Code of Conduct, they should use the "Report" button to bring it to a Moderator's attention, so it can be removed.
