Kumar Mahadevan of Aki's Indian Restaurant gives the contestants a lesson on understanding spices and how to cook with them correctly
George and Carrie make an easy, delicious crème brulee with a perfect burnt sugar top
The entire red team face an elimination challenge; Round 1 is to choose ingredients and make a quality pesto in 10 minutes
The judges taste each pesto and pick the three contestants which produced the lowest-quality pestos
Daniel, Courtney and Sharnee say their farewells to the other six contestants before they face Round 2
After first identifying basil, the second herb stumps Courntey and she guesses 'spearmint' instead of mint
As Daniel and Sharnee return to the house, the other contestants are shocked and saddened to see Courtney has been eliminated
After the Blue team's 15 minute head start, the red team arrive at the International College of Management and find Matt waiting with their instructions
Having chosen to create their dishes from Tony Bilson's cookbook, the blue team receive Bilson as their mentor for the challenge
Michel Roux mentors the red team through the challenge and offers tips and techniques on their menu and the dishes
After the Red team serves 1st, the Blue team stand-by to hear the judges comments on their dishes. Unfortunately the crème brulee has not set properly
Matt Preston, Tetsuya Wakuda and Guillaume Brahimi taste and judge both team's individual dishes of the day
Matt explains that it was a difficult decision to pick the winner, but today the red team have lost after their dishes had too many errors
Today Jonathan will be cooking against Justin North, head chef and owner of Bécasse and Etch restaurants
Jonathan admits he's never cooked pork in his life so Justin gives him some tips on butchering the suckling pig
Jonathan's strategy is to try to keep up with Justin through every step of the recipe
Donna Hay joins Matt and George on the judging panel to taste and score each dish
Justin scores a total of 26 out of 30, beating Jonathan's score by 5 points
Joanne, Dominic and Matthew are cooking off in the pressure test and must replicate this towering black forest cake!
Dom struggles making the sponge cake and ends up only having three layers rather than the required five
Callum doesn't notice a pip fly into the cherry bowl, but what are the odds that it will end up in a slice of cake he serves up?
Despite George finding a pip in his slice of cake from Callum, Dominic is eliminated based on the dish he produced today
Joanne and Matthew survived the pressure test and return to the house and the remaining contestants
After winning the mystery box challenge, Skye must choose the core ingredient for the invention test, will it be chicken, goat or pulses?
All eyes are on Jimmy in the Indian invention test and he's feeling the pressure, will he win this challenge or be beaten by another contestant?
Despite choosing the core ingredient and her 5 minutes in the panty, Skye scrambles in the last 10 minutes to get all elements of her dish together
Jonathan and Courtney present the two best Indian dishes of the day but Jonathan has won the invention test challenge for today!
Sadly there's always going to be three contestants selected to face the pressure test and today that's Dominic, Joanne and Matthew
Gary makes a lavender sugar for the donuts by plucking fresh lavendar and mixing it through caster sugar - yum!
George cooks his meatloaf in a water bath at 68 degrees for 40 minutes and it turns out perfectly
After poaching the sausages in a pan, the sausage skins are then carefully removed and the sausages are finished by pan-frying in plenty of butter!
Gary has Daniel helping him to roll the sausage mixture and then rolling into the pastry
Courtney, Carrie, Callum and Matthew are treated to a private Masterclass at Sake restaurant with chef Shaun Presland
It's the head-to-head elimination round and Jonathan and Adele find out they must fix a very flawed bolognaise dish
As the judges watch on, Jonathan and Adele take turns in picking a new ingredient in each step to try to rectify the dish
Adele chooses to add concentrated tomato paste, an ingredient Jonathan says he has never used
Each judge tastes both dishes and then take a break to deliberate who produced the better bolognaise
The judges deem Jonathan's bolognaise the better dish, thus Adele has been eliminated
The teams will be catering for Phoebe's 9th birthday party; each haves 5 minutes to talk to Phoebe to get an idea of what she likes and dislikes
Callum, leading the Blue team was able to choose his whole team and they seem to be all under control and happily working together
Dominic and Adele have been wrangling over the oven whilst George and Gary query Jonathan's choice of dish
By 10.30 the kids are eager to eat and pick their preferred food from the Red and Blue tables
George slices a piece of each cake for Phoebe to try; Phoebe's preferred cake will earn the team an extra 10 points!
The Blue team have won with 93 votes, including the ten points for their cake! Adele and Jonathan will face the elimination round having received the lowest number of votes
Today Callum will be cooking off against Philippa Sibley from Bistro Guillaume in Melbourne
Callum has a 15 minute head start and Philippa stands by to give him some tips and advice to help him out
Philippa's dish - Plate 2 - wows the judges with its presentation, textures and taste
A round of applause for Callum as he scores 22 out of 30 from the judges for his dish
Philippa's dessert scores her 28 points out of 30, making her the challenge winner
Chef extraordinaire Peter Gilmore from Quay restaurant presents his dish to the contestants, Poached Chicken with Truffles and Baby Vegetables
Matt and Peter check the contestants progress; Carrie has made a tear in the chicken skin but hopes it will hold through the cooking process
The four judges taste each dish in turn and judge on presentation, technique, quality of cooking and of course taste
Fiona is first to pass the pressure test; Carrie is then deemed safe which means that sadly Kate is eliminated
Kate thanks the judges for their time and encouragement before leaving the competition to return home
In the mystery box challenge, the contestants have 45 minutes to whip up a gourmet burger for the judges
Marion's burger wins her the challenge and now she will pick the core ingredient for the invention test challenge
Marion has three choices for the core ingredient but goes for the tuna, not feeling confident with the eel or tofu
Between Callum, Alvin and Marion, Callum wins the invention test challenge after wow-ing the judges with his tuna tataki dish
Kate, Carrie and Fiona are the bottom three performers of the day and will compete in a pressure test challenge tomorrow
