The five members from the Blue team face a taste test challenge and are presented with a cake made by George
The contestants take turns in tasting the cake and naming an ingredient. The first to incorrectly name an ingredient will be eliminated
George explains that this cake is one his mother often made for him. He lifts a cloche to reveal the ingredient butter, which Alivin named.
On his second turn, Matt names apricots, which he then specifies as dried apricots. Gary reveals that this ingredient is incorrect
The correct ingredient was apricot jam, which George explains is very different to dried apricots, and so Matthew is eliminated
Neil Perry is here to advise the contestants on their three course meal for Qantas' International Business Class. Each team has 90 minutes to prepare the dishes
Their meals have been delivered onto the plane and the teams now must reheat and plate them up before serving
The Blue team serves their meals first to Gary, Alan Joyce - CEO of Qantas, Neil Perry and Matt Preston
The Red team serves second and have prawns in their entrée and quail in their main - the same as the Blue team
Marion feels terrible after her dish disappointed the judges and the Blue team have lost the challenge. They will now all face an elimination challenge
In Jonathan's second celebrity chef challenge he is cooking against Josh Emett and hopes to win the challenge and the immunity pin
Jonathan has an extra fifteen minutes time allowance but has never made a consomme before, will he plate up all elements of the dish?
Emett quickly catches up to Jonathan and has no trouble preparing the fish, turned vegetables and consomme
Jonathan receives a 7 from Matt, an 8 from Donna and a 7 from George, giving him a total of 22 points
Emett's dish was more vibrant and elegant and he receives a total of 27 points, therefore beating Jonathan in the challenge
It's a battle of the Gen Y cooks today! Matthew, Sharnee and Callum have to reproduce a 70s stroganoff without a recipe!
There's a flurry of activity in the kitchen as the contestants race between the benches and the pantry having to work out which meat and spices to use
Matthew is the least flustered of the three and thinks back to when his Mum made stroganoff for dinner, but will this help or hinder his dish?
George and Matt taste each dish and look for the core ingredients. George isn't happy with the inconsistent cuts of meat in the dishes
Sharnee's steak was not the correct cut of meat and was therefore chewy. She also incorrectly identified the spice used and therefore has been eliminated
Julie Goodwin drops by the MasterChef kitchen and has set the ingredients for todays mystery box challenge!
In thirty minutes Marion produced her own springrolls filled with cream cheese, lemon and mint filling. The judges loved it and so Marion won!
It's a 're-invention' test today and Marion must pick between Iced Vo-Vos, Chiko Rolls or Golden Gaytimes. Marion plays to her strengths and chooses the chiko rolls.
Jonathan wins the challenge for his Classic Beef and Vegetables with Reduction and Corn Pastry.
Best mates Matthew and Callum along with Sharnee have produced the three least impressive dishes for the invention test and will be facing the pressure test together tomorrow
