As part of the all important finals week of MasterChef, celebrity chefs Bill Granger and Donna Hay will be lending their expertise to the judging process.

Born in Melbourne, Bill Granger moved to Sydney when he was nineteen. As an art student with a passion for food, he worked as a waiter and his focus gradually shifted from art to food – a path which eventually led him to establish his own restaurants.

bills opened in 1993 in the Sydney suburb of Darlinghurst, and the second bills opened in the nearby suburb of Surry Hills in 1996. They were both immediate successes and are established as favourite destinations for both locals and tourists alike. In July 2005, bills Woollahra opened and has developed its own loyal band of regulars.

Bill is one of Australia’s leading food writers and has sold over 700,000 copies of his cookbooks worldwide. Bill also regularly writes for food publications in both Australia and overseas, and his television series, bills food, has been screened in Australia and over 20 other countries.

Donna Hay is Australia's leading food editor and best-selling cookbook author. Her career as a food writer and stylist began when she was 19 and she was appointed food editor of marie claire when she was 25.

She is the editor of donna hay magazine, a highly acclaimed, top-selling bi-monthly food magazine which has been hugely successful both in Australia and overseas. Donna also has a popular weekly food column in News Limited newspapers around Australia and The New Zealand Herald, and regularly contributes to Livingetc in the UK.

Donna’s simple and style-driven approach is reflected in her 17 award-winning cookbooks. She has sold more than 3.3 million books worldwide and her books have been translated into nine languages. She also has a successful homewares range, food range and a concept store in the Sydney suburb of Woollahra.
